OUR HISTORY
1989
Association for Reproductive and Family Health (ARFH) was established by two eminent and reputable Nigerians who are the most prominent advocates of Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) and Family Planning (FP) programming in Nigeria.
1991
Association for Reproductive and Family Health (ARFH) was registered in 1991. As one of the leading indigenous non-profit organizations in Nigeria, ARFH is committed to improving the quality of life of underserved and vulnerable communities.
2007
With DFID funds, ARFH was the first organization to integrate Life Planning Education into the School curriculum to empower young people with Sexual, Reproductive Health & Rights, Prevention of GBV and HIV/AIDS prevention in the Secondary schools in Oyo state as a pilot in ARFH’s 2 Nigeria.
2007
In recognition of the contribution of the organization to development, United Nations committee on NGOs granted ARFH a special Consultative Status with UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).
2008
ARFH was rated by the independent observer, AIDSPAN, as the best indigenous NGO globally, and the sixth best performing Principal Recipient of the Global Fund project globally.
2018
ARFH was Commissioned in 2018 by the Chair, Board of Trustees, Prof. E.O Otolorin, the remodelled medical Centre expanded her scope of medical services to the community and environs, catering to both male and female clients of all cadres with reproductive health (RH) services.
